Week 4 is as over as Jeff Goldblum is (per Twitter but mysteriously nowhere else). But we still have to mention that the results came in last night: https://therealljidol.livejournal.com/1077270.htmlRead more... )
It's Ellie's first Halloween! We got her a little baby elephant costume, since we always call her our 'little Ellie-phant.' So we're going to go trick or treating with her cousins, though she'll probably just ride in her wagon since she can't walk yet. Or eat candy. But I can eat candy, so I'm happy to eat it for her.
My sister's neighborhood is always prepared, too. Like every other house passes out beer or wine to the parents, so obviously we are trick or treating where she lives!
Have a wonderful time! Our children's first Halloweens were so special. I love it when the tiny children come trick or treating. One time, I opened our door and this first timer walked right in, because that's what you do when someone opens a door, isn't it? And the costume could have been everyday clothes as far as she was concerned, because you just wear what someone puts on you.
Hub was in a car wreck this AM en route to work. Five vehicles were involved. (Not his fault) He was rear ended by a Green Lawn truck. How he walked off without a bodily bruise I don’t know but I’m thankful. His car did it’s job. (Subaru Cross Trek). No one was taken to a hospital. My hub has had cancer, a heart attack and two car accidents within 5 years. Enough w the damn drama, ok Universe?
No Halloween plans. We don’t get trick or treaters, though I wish we would. We live in a gated complex, in the back, on an alley way. I’m not sure if our neighborhood gets many anyway, I think most people head toward the rich areas adjacent to us or something. Or they just don’t trick or treat anymore. Because I rarely see them when I’m walking around anyway. It makes me a bit sad. I loved Halloween as a kid.
Now if I can somehow make it work, I’d like to head into LA, to Olvera Street, for Dia de Los Muertos. I’ve always wanted to attend, and since this is likely my last October in the area, I’d really like to make it out.
