I saw some reference to these idol specific terms in an earlier post, I'm not sure what they are myself and I've been here awhile? I mean there's the byes (which I vaguely suspect has something to do with sportsing) and the green room but what else?

You still see some "frist" and "grap" floating around - typos people made that became "in-jokes".

My whole build a wall around everything that isn't 'Merica (which has always been "wherever I live") has become less of an in-joke parody of taking a fringe stance to the extremes and become actual foreign policy!

I realized that the FAQ link didn't save. So I'm glad you mentioned it so I could go back and edit it back in!

I think a lot of the other terms listed are fairly general ones. But if it's come up, that means there's at least someone who might be confused!

I spent the weekend giving Home Depot all of my money and then laying tile.

Didn’t you all move recently? How did the tile work go? Which room did you tile, and how much help were the kids?

Yeah- we’ve been in the new house for about a month now but are doing a bunch of work on it now (before we furnish all the rooms). I picked out a porcelain tile to put in the dining room and living room which looks like wood. It’s going to be a lot easier to clean/maintain and last longer than the carpet that was in there, but the installation is going to take us awhile. I’m lucky to have my brother in law helping since he has done this before, but the hubby and I are getting our own crash course! I’m trying to keep the kids occupied and out of the way.

Entry is done. Other than that I had a fairly lazy weekend, doing some laundry and housework and watching Hallmark movies from the comfort of my couch. My Gamma World character survived another week and advanced to level 11, so there’s that, lol. Yes, I’m a geek. 😉

I went to the Luxembourg Gardens on Sunday, so that was nice. Posted some pics for friends to see. I’m bad about taking pics though - I tend to live in the moment more and put my phone away, forgetting about it.

Other than that, not much else. I worked a bit. Played some video games. Went shopping. Watched some tv and YouTube. Pretty much everything I do most days.

It’s really beautiful. I loved how casual it was too - folks sitting back with a book, enjoying the sunshine and surrounded by beauty, kids playing. I’d love to go back more often to just relax. It might become my new happy place once I’m living here since I’ll be leaving the beach behind.

OK, so I might have an issue with my intro. In the last there was always a drop down on the post entry page to say whether you wanted your post filtered to friends only or public. That drop down on my desktop doesn't exist anymore so I can't tell whether or not all my non Idol posts are still filtered. If anybody here could check for me and let me know if appreciate it.

That’s so weird- I definitely saw the drop down when I posted. It may be because I’m still on the old platform?
