Since my parents got sick, I became the bunny for the family. I got myself a movie, some candy (which I raided when I unexpectedly got a handmade Easter present from my favorite 7 year old) and a new hairbrush. Nothing really exciting. Went to Easter brunch at my brother's inlaws to be.
We went to my SIL's, as per tradition. My poor MIL -- now that the younger set of grandkids are of middle/high school age, she's kind of at loose ends as far as "what am I supposed to do now?" is concerned. My SIL/BIL (actually all 5 of them) kind of "get out of Dodge" as soon as their kids are old enough. It's almost like escaping. I have a theory about this re my MIL but that's a whole other story.
But yes, in a nutshell, I had a very nice Easter because I DIDN'T HAVE TO WORK!!!!
