I was just about to write a post about how irritating it was that every second reference to
the recent acquisition of livejournal talked about its sale "to the Russians" with "OMG, we're moving BEHIND THE IRON CURTAIN" and "don't they still line up for basic groceries over there???" sorts of undertones. But then

Okay, and lots of jokes. But I confess I can't help finding even the bad ones funny on a day when Serious News is all dominated by Russia, AND NOW THEY GOT FANDOM TOO.

Eh, from my vague crankiness. I apologise. Like I said, I saw a number of 'fandom is so crazy' type comments without seeing any crazy, and from other occasions I have a bit of a crankynerve regarding that. But you're right, that was an assumption, not what's actually in the post. Sorry!
