As a little girl, I loved the Betsy-Tacy books by Maud Hart Lovelace, a series of children's books that follows turn-of-the-(last)-century heroine Betsy Ray from age six through to her wedding in her early twenties. I love those books so deeply! I'd love a card, if you don't mind...

And I would love to send you one! You can send your address to jaegecko at jaegecko dot com.

When was the last time you read them? I'd recommend another reread if it's been a while. *grin*

oh, i thought you would keep one.

yes, absolutely, if you don't want to hang onto one.

i have a sordid confession, though, which is that my favorite book is emily of deep valley which features betsy very tangentially. if you've not read that one, you might like it, though.

Nah. I mean, I'd save it if a friend sent it to me and it had a meaningful message inside, but otherwise it's just "cool crap," and I try to prevent that stuff from building up. So if you could send me your address, I can get it to you post haste. :-)

I actually haven't read the books about the other Deep Valley characters at all, but I was just looking at the site I linked to above and thinking I really should do that...
