[It's pouring outside. Really, Shinjiro Aragaki isn't someone who can afford selflessness, even if he's supposed to consider himself lucky. He has food, and shelter, and work, and that's more than a good deal other people can say. As the last one left of his family, he can't expect anyone to help him accomplish anything. Really, he's in no position to do anything he won't be getting compensation for.
But then there are days like this.
It's pouring outside, his knuckles are bruised and the water's just washing the blood off his forehead because today was just not a good day, weather or otherwise. And there's a small, whining, whimpering sound from a cardboard box set near a couple of trash cans. He's no stranger to what that means, but maybe it's just the time of year to be a sentimental moron about crap like this.
He winds up at the closest pokémon center with the black and red puppy in his arms, still soaked from the rain, and doesn't quite know what to do with himself.]
I'll take care of him immediately. Please, come this way... [She's not a nurse, but she can find one, and the nurse will be able to help the poor puppy 8(]
