Okay. This is what, 6 weeks into uni and I am starting to realize there are some problems with my degree. This is considering how I've dropped the Redundant Subject already, so it's really rather annoying. And, it's on top of the fact that I chose Arts because it is (or seemed to be) the most flexible of all the degrees, but I still feel like it's ( Read more... )

slow down, take it easy, i know planning ahead is good but have some fun, you DO have time, math may be crucial but you have two semester every year and you can take it up and if u rly need it surely a winter subject would be fine to make up for it. Don't do all your subjects to aim towards career choice or open choices, that's what we do in VCE, this is uni it's about exploring yourself especially an arts course. breathe and take it easy finish what you're at and decide next semester, your world will surely not crash and fall over, it's time u start doing things you like and not the people around you including your mum or dad because eventually no matter what we end being just that us alone and what we desire of ourselves is what really matters the most. Don't let any guilt take over if that's the case!

actually one of the problems is i like too much of this stuff! i simply cannot even fathom dropping japanese or french or econs, so everything's very give-take and bothersome. i hope you are having fun in uni!! :)))

yeh loving uni although i do find two out four of my subjects completely pointless ESPECIALLY one which is nursing communications and we have a book which dictates us to be caring and nice and considerate... no shit! and i don't particularly fancy going to uni to be bored with 3 hours of lectures on hand washing and 2 hours of practicals on bed-making but im absolutely LOVING paramedics it's bliss and ive been out on placements and it's soo good we're just totally getting into it, anatomy is ALOT of work but it's something i love the human body so i refuse to whine about the work for it :D ( ... )

I'd rather say that it is true math is crucial, especially for Econ student. And I guess if u go further on science u may find it interesting as well. My opinion is that, for both Japanese and French, they are just language tools, you'd better learn them, but not that nessasary to make it ur major. And it is true that this is only ur first semester in uni, so do not worry about it too much, try to experience as much as u can, especially for those you may not be able to experience later in ur life. anyway, just enjoy everything!
