Update on the story of the man who wrote eye of the tiger...
after talking to my mom tonight, I found out that he used to live behind me, in my old neighborhood in Illinois. He is part of my destiny, it's all fate, I must live near him...haha crazy!

I read Albert Camus' The Stranger yesterday. I'm still not exactly sure what I think about it, although I really liked it, I couldn't put it down all day, which resulted in me reading the entire thing . Any comments on the book? Any suggestions for a new book for me to read, that you really like a lot?

This weekend was fun, but tiring. Left Holland at 10am on Saturday and drove to Naperville, then waited a little bit, and got in Bill's car and drove to Columbus, OH with Bill and Billy. We left later then intended and therefore arrived later than we had meant to.

Modest Mouse last night was great! There were some bad parts, they played almost all the songs off their new album, but I expected that. Black Cadillacs, Bukowski, and Bury Me With It were all pretty sweet, Float On was typical but still pretty good. So I'm in The Full Circle today, hanging out, looking for a CD, when a guy comes in. He stays for awhile, sells Steve a CD and then leaves. Once he's gone, Steve tells me that the guy was a member of the 80's band survivor, and he's the guy who wrote the song Eye of the Tiger...weird. My question is, what the hell is he doing in Holland?

It's finally becoming a reality that I will be going on a mission trip to Guatemala July 8th. I wasn't sure for awhile, but tonight something amazing happened, someone from my church anonymously donated $600 to me specifically so I could go. Now thanks to them, I have over half the amount of money I need.

Less than one week until Modest Mouse, i just need to get through a few things...a clarinet thing monday night, band from six a.m. to six p.m. on tuesday.
