Thanks to everyone who contributed to the shipping and writing discussion, and special thanks to lenina20 for leading it. I found it enlightening to discuss matters so close to our hearts and see how differently we define our interests on this subject.
Given how passionate we are about our favourite characters, pairings and genres, it might be a good time to remind each other of the purpose of the community as expressed in the user profile.
The objectives of the Quill Station are to offer support in the writing process, build a community among writers, and provide opportunities to sharpen our skills. To ensure this is possible, please remember to treat all members with respect. All writers in any genre are welcome, as are veteran, new or prospective writers.
Therefore keep in mind that one fan’s scum of the earth is another fan’s truly beloved, so make sure to present your arguments in a respectful tone. This is not to cut down debate or stifle anyone’s opinions - personally I love the diversity of views in this fandom - but the point of this community is to encourage discussion about our writing, not make anyone defensive about their preferences.
