Inspired by an earlier post on this subject...again for the girls..

Waxing down there | is such a hassle, but I hear that shaving gives you rashes?

If you go here you can get free samples of a product that is supposed to help with ingrown hairs/razor bumps, etc.

Also, when I was out of shaving cream I found that using my deep conditioner was an excellent way to soften the hair before shaving. But that could get expensive if one constantly shaved their hoohah with that, baby oil may work well, it does wonders for shaving my legs.

I use "Bikini Zone" shaving gel, and a Venus razor. Sometimes I'll use my skintimate shave gel to save some cash (the Bikini Zone isn't exactly cheap).

I trim the hair short with scissors and thin it out with the razor, shaving with the direction of the hair. I don't like the completely hairless look to begin with, and it seems like it'd be a real pain to maintain anyway.

I shave my bikini line and trim the rest. I think that whether or not you get rashes depends on how sensitive your skin is. I just shave it wet and don't have any problems... but a friend of mine gets bumps and stuff if she doesn't use shaving cream.

I've heard that you should shave with the direction of hair growth first, and then against. I'm not sure why exactly that would help, but apparently it does. And exfoliating in between shaves, with a loofah or something like that (not anything in a bottle because it could irritate the skin too much), is supposed to help with ingrown hairs.
