I re-watched "End of Days" last night.

On the one hand: the scene with Andy at the police station, Exuberant Roman solider, and Gwen's "oh Andy, d'you really think the world's gonna end on your shift?"

OH, AND THE WAY BARROWMAN SAYS "SIGNIFICANTLY BIGGER BALLS".

On the other hand: pretty much everything else.

I knew it was a mistake to watch this right after “Pandorica Opens”; it looks even more fail-tastic in comparison.

Then I re-watched KKBB this morning, what a palate cleanser!

I always thought that since the wardrobe palate is rather limited for each character on the show, in terms of practicality and character personality etc., they decided to go ALL OUT on the blowfish guy with the neon zoot suit. All that bottled up tacky energy had to go somewhere, right?

I NEVER NOTICED OWEN'S SHIRT AT THE END UNTIL YOU POINTED IT OUT. HOW HAVE I MISSED THIS??

HAHA SIGNIFICANTLY BIGGER BALLS. That's one of the best parts there is. End of Days... IDEK what happens. As the TOTALLY NOT IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER recap probably indicates.

And Pandorica Opens before End of Days... Christ, that must be like going from like five-star restaurant food to no-longer-warm McDonald's. Ouch. I specifically avoided watching Pandorica on BBCA last night, pretty much for that reason. Ahahahaa.

AND YES OWEN'S TSHIRT. IT'S LIKE THE HIGH-POINT OF THE EPISODE FOR ME. I DON'T USUALLY CARE ABOUT WHAT OWEN'S WEARING BUT IN THIS EPISODE, I DO.

As I've re-watched the series, Owen has grown on me--still not my fave, but significantly less annoying than I used think. But the one thing, THE ONE THING, I cannot abide is the baggy jeans. BAGGY JEANS ARE NOBODY'S FRIEND! And now, of course, they're all I can pay attention to when they show Owen full-frame. GAHHHHH.

Well, I knew I wanted to watch the airing of DW since I get BBCA in HD--you can see the individual skin pores with all that extra definition!--and after it was done, I was like, too early to go to bed...what do do now? Then I thought, oh, TW 1.13, but I think the extra thinky part of my brain went TEH STOOPID since I didn't remember the absolute EPIC FAIL that "End of Days" displays in almost every scene. But I pushed through like a champ, mostly because, I wanted to get to "SIGNIFICANTLY BIGGER BALLS" and laugh at Gwen trying to brush ded!Jack's hair with her fingers, but that shit ain't happening lady--the staying power of pomade will not be denied!

HE LOOKS LIKE A COLLEGE STUDENT. EXCEPT HE'S CLEARLY TOO OLD TO BE ONE. BUT HE JUST NEVER MATURED ON PAST THE "OVERLY BAGGY JEANS AND BAND T-SHIRT" PHASE. POOR SOUL.

My sister was reading the TV guide aloud to me last night and was like OOOH! DOCTOR WHO'S ON! IT'S CALLED THE PANDO-RIKA! And then we laughed.

But yeah, the hi-def is good times. I CAN SEE THE ADORKABLENESS OF THE LODGER IN HD, FUCK YEAH!

But way to be a champ and watch all of End of Days. That's just one of those things I'm incapable of doing.

5. That scene with Ianto taunting with the stopwatch for some reason skeeves me out. I don't like his teeth in it. It's like. . .I get the sense he didn't brush his teeth that day. Like, watch it again and tell me his teeth don't look. . . gross for some reason. It's the only time I'm totally unattracted to GDL. Just that screencap is making me want to buy him mouthwash and I have NO IDEA WHY, IT'S JUST THIS HUNCH I HAVE.

The method I use to figure out if plot is going on in an episode of Torchwood is based entirely on the "Is Ianto near a gun or not" dichotomy. If yes: PLOT. If no: IDK. SHARKS.
