i remember reading an article quite a few years ago about feeder and suicide. their drummer killed himself. right before doing so he called the frontman/songwriter of the band, who actively didnt answer his call coz he was out somewhere for the night and didnt want to be interupted. now that has got to fuk you up and must have influenced feeder's stuff written after that. but im not a fan so wouldnt know for sure

Off the top of my head, all I can think of are Christian Death, A23, and Gary Numan sang about it a few times. Sorry I can't be of any more use. ;)
