I have put the book on my to-read list, in the vain hope that I'll get more info on the Human Project and the even vainer hope that it might have a slightly more uplifting ending.
i figured there were pretty big discrepancies - say, blaming infertility on women because you can't make a movie about male sterility. but i've got quite a keen interest in film & lit adaptations, so i'm curious to read the book anyway. :)
I thought it must be--there's something early on in the movie that struck me as being just wrong. I can't remember what, exactly, but I knew it was completely different from the beginning of the book.

the thing that said, "based on the novel by p.d. james" should've said "extremely, extremely loosely based..." just so you know.

I thought it must be--there's something early on in the movie that struck me as being just wrong. I can't remember what, exactly, but I knew it was completely different from the beginning of the book.
