In which I say some stuff

Mar 19, 2009 22:02

My calendar will look so much better if I post something tonight, so I am going to say some things about tv again:

1. The Office - Getting so horrendously embarrassed and humiliating himself in front of the new boss may be the most adorable thing Jim has done in a while, and that's saying something. I cringed so badly for him, but mostly I just ( Read more... )

Michael's quitting at the end of the show? Definitely classy.

(P.S. I think that Jim's hair might actually have been too crunchy to pet this episode.)

The Shadow was hot. Actually no, he had a creepy sharp nose. Lamont Cranston was hot.

"I dreamed I tore my face off and was somebody else underneath." "You have problems." "I'm aware of that."

Did you ever watch The Phantom with Billy Zane? That was one of my most embarassing superhero movie crushes.

Also: my nieces and nephews so WISH they had a giant stuffed lion to add verisimilitude to the George of the Jungle games they already play!

What if Lamont Cranston *wasn't* hot, and it was all Jedi Mind Tricks?! It's a good thing he was named 'Lamont Cranston,' a name which inspires absolute confidence.

And sadly, no, I never got to see The Phantom - but I really wanted to. It had that certain hum about it that suggested it could be fodder for a totally embarrassing movie crush. But when you want to see a movie for that reason, you have to be discreet, and I think I was so discreet that nobody knew I wanted to see it.

You've got to see this lion; it's so cute. It's a big, pillowy flat Lion even bigger than Samuel, who is just one. And he alternates between picking it up over his head, spinning it around, slamming it to the floor, and suddenly collapsing on it in a cuddly heap. Too cute for words!

I felt so bad for Jim! It was hilarious, but the poor guy does not deserve to look like the office weirdo/slacker.

I felt terrible for him, too, because it's exactly the kind of dumb thing I would do. But I also thought this could be good for his moral fiber, LOL. Jim's used to encouraging all the mayhem while still getting credit for being the voice of reason, keeping everybody sane. It's time he realized that at least some of the time, he's just as bad as any of them!
