Seriously! Mozzie was actually starting to get a little attractive tonight! (And I cannot believe I just wrote that.) What IS it with this show?? Are they pumping pheromones through the TV or what?
Also, Peter and Elizabeth's meet-cute story is adorable. The "I Love Italian" sign cracked me up. And I'd just been wondering if we were going to get their romantic backstory, too. Weird!
Pheromones through the tv: it's *definitely* a theory. I mean, seriously, I think the show has been really good for the last few episodes, but probably not quite good enough to explain my slavish devotion
( ... )
Really, I think there's something to be said for the lighter shows. The heavy dramas may scoop up all the awards and the critical acclaim, but all that sturm und drang wears on the nerves. Not suitable for fangirling at all. The USA shows are just my style -- actually, if it weren't for the wrestling (which I don't watch anyway, so no big deal), I would think they designed the channel just for me!
Re: Mozzie, I do confess that when he threatened to go shirtless, my reaction was similar to the courier's! :-) But he's a cute one nonetheless, in his own weird little way.
And you've explained nicely why I've totally flipped out over Peter! *joins fanning*
Oh, I didn't mean that White Collar ultimately lacks something by failing to be super serious. I don't think it does! Only that my love of it has to come down to some kind of whole-is-greater-than-the-parts thing, because as excellent as the parts certainly can be, I am, like, WAAAYYY attached to this show now, LOL. To a point where I could not give you an explanation to make my fangirling seem no more than reason!
At least the cobbler is willing to fix your shoes. I took my favorite (very cheap) black pumps into a guy because the rubber wore off the heels and now they go CLACKY! CLACKY! when I walk, and he said he couldn't do anything for them. Whatever, Cobbler Man. I will simply wear them and clack.
And HA to your White Collar love haze/hormone overdrive. That show totally does that to my roommates and I too. In fact, a new catchphrase we've adopted from Sunday night's Emma perfectly applies: "Let us think of superior men!"
When I first read litlover12's comment, I thought your new catchphrase was CLACKY! CLACKY!thepresidentrixJanuary 30 2010, 16:40:52 UTC
We SHALL think upon superior men. It is *resolved.*
But, aw gee, I think my White Collar love approaches afterglow or something. It is RIDICULOUS, but WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO WHEN A SHOW IS THAT ADORABLE? I ASK YOU!
P.S. Have you caught up on TLOTS yet??? Last night I watched the latest episode to make it to Hulu, and it was NOT CUTE AT ALL. Not particularly disturbing or anything, but I've been basically enjoying this season, and for some reason they had Richard suddenly start acting totally OOC. Plus, they gave Kahlan a new outfit that's just... raise your hand if 'ew.'?
I wish he *did* have a bindlestitch, but he didn't look very bindly. Honestly, I dunno how far I trust the dude based on my first impression, but all my shoes need are new rubber heels, and how hard can that be? So we shall see...

Also, I love your random anecdotes.

I bet putting new heels on is the first thing you learn in cobbler school. I'm sure it'll be okay.
