Laura's gone.
I.
I don't even know...just thought others would like to know.
Z, if she's not back in the two weeks we wait or whatever, I want her clothes. And her shoes. And whatever pictures she has. And the teddy bear I left there the last time I visited. And...I'll make you a list.

[He finishes his drink off before slowly pouring another.]
Just remember, though, that you've still got people here who really care about you. I know it's not the same as having her around, but we'll do whatever we can for you.

[She sighs and slowly starts on her drink.]
She's family. It's just different. At least with her around I only had to miss my Mom.

Eventually you learn to keep moving on, as hard as it is.

[He waives his hand around for emphasis as he speaks, sounding thoughtful.]
And, come on, you're preaching to the choir here about screwed up teenage years, kiddo. It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from, but in this life you can't just get by without something bad happening. Without losing people, or feeling lonely. And I don't mean that in way to say 'shut up and deal with it' either. It's just facts--sucky facts, but facts.

Stop ruining by buzz with your thoughtfulness, Warren. I get what you're saying, but man, you are totally ruining the drink myself into obliviousness right now.

You're just bummed because I'm right. And that's fine! You're allowed to be.

Yeah yeah yeah. Don't let it go to your head.
And thanks.

...it might feel good tonight, but don't forget that it'll be shitty in the morning.

[That cures everything, riiiight? D: D: D:]

That's good because I'm betting that you'll probably need it.

Oh, probably. So worth it though.

Let's just not make this a habit, okay?

[She drinks this one much slower.]
Unless you go and kil--die again. Then all bets are off.
