Hey, I'm kind of on the other side of the country than you, but I know my school uses some pretty good computer programs to teach people whose first language isn't English to be more fluent in it.

Yes. An alien - but he had language skills already, just needed vocabulary and syntax. And a genetically-modified humanoid - he needed much more fundamental help.

The hardest part for you will probably be symbolic linkages to sounds, but we can figure out what works.

Hm. Pity. Naturally, I'd not do anything without your permission, but there is a fair chance I could just use my mental abilities to have you learn at least the basics quickly. Entire languages can be done that way, as well as other skills. I'm sure reading isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Something to consider, perhaps.
