I think my mother was a huge influence. When I was young, Mum always took us to musea, events, poppenkasten, the circus, theatre, the zoo, etc. I've done glasmozaiek, I've sat on a spijkerbed, I went to a bloke in the Veluwe who colleced ballpoints... And still, we like to go to these things. I have made her enthousiastic for arthouse movies in the Filmschuur in Haarlem; she inspires me with all sorts of theatre. Musically, we influence eachother - I've start to listen to her old favorites. And when she asks me about a modern song, I often know the title, artist, album and lots of facts. She even started to read novels nowadays - she never read novels.

Some parents make music with their kids, or sport together, or go on holidays in foreign countries or have a love for motorcycling. We did this. What did your parents did with you for quality time? I'm curious.

Away We Go was in arthouse-cinema's.
Vicky Cristina Barcelona is awesome. It's a bit like Lost In Translation. And everyone is beautiful. And there's SCARLETT. <3
