The Late Christmas Day
*She was so excited she could hardly contain herself, which was made pretty obvious to everyone when she not-so-subtly began making a lot of racket in the kitchen around 7a.m.. For the past two weeks she had been busy as a bee decorating the house festively and doing her very best to prepare for the upcoming holiday. Christmas wasn't something she was familiar with, but as it was a family holiday, it was something she wanted to get everyone involved in.
The night before there had been nothing beneath the tree, but now there were packages all around, at least one addressed to each member of the household. Each was carefully wrapped in colorful paper and tied up with a bow, even the ones with tags that said "From: Kabegami".*

sciencebuddy's package contains a note that says he should check the larger underground lab at his convenience to find his gift, as it was too large to wrap.
not_so_octava has two packages. The first is an art set with an assortment of paints, crayons, colored pencils and markers. The second is a big white teddy bear with a red bow around its neck, trimmed in gold. It will sing Christmas carols when he presses its paw.
tinygenius has two packages. One contains a big box of building blocks, and the other is a teddy bear that matches not_so_octava's, only it has a green bow with gold trim.
sonar_scientist's package contains a picture of a much larger tank with a note that says to check the backyard.
wataboutscience's package contains special cleaner and cloths for his glasses as well as a bunch of miscellaneous electronic parts.
science_muncher's package contains a picture of an assortment of deadly and carnivorous plants with a note that says to check the storage building outside.
pinkgabriel's package just contains a note to check the storage building outside, where he will find an assortment of deadly reptiles from all over the globe.

Kabegami gave everyone a gift. His packages contain a ball of yarn and a small painting of something natural (flowers, trees, Autumn, Spring, and so on).))
