Hong Kong was the perfect hunting ground. Even in the dead of night, the lights of the city were still on, people were still walking around - it would never compete with cities like London and New York where they never actually slept, but Hong Kong came close enough. The night was a good one, overall. His victim for the night was somewhere passed out in one of the back alleys behind one of the clubs in Central, and he knew enough from experience that the overall blood loss coupled with the alcohol that the poor soul had consumed would be more than enough to make her forget about the charming stranger with black hair and brown eyes that had sunk his fangs into her pale throat.

Tch. Humans. Weak, easy, prey.

He was crossing through the forest behind Mansfield when the scent hit him. Sharp, metallic, sweet, and something that Kris had recognised instantly for his senses to snap to full attention

The sudden appearance of another person’s voice completely surprised Sehun, almost causing him to lose his balance and stumble off the log. He quickly turned around towards the source of the voice and came eye to eye with a man he had never seen before in his life. Ah, curse it. Not again. Was it a norm for the people of this city to come strolling into a forest in the dead of the night? Seriously, after Cade, he never really expected another soul to discover him anymore in the woods. The strokes of bad luck he had this month was starting to get ridiculous! Getting bombed, getting shot, him appearing on the news and accidentally revealing the supernatural world to the public, tearing his wound, bleeding… and now this! Was the gods really testing him? Because if they were, he’s starting to get really pissed off at them

If he were a regular human, the sight of Sehun's wings, spread out to their full wingspan, would have been a sight to behold. But now, Kris saw it as a defense mechanism, Sehun getting ready to run and escape, and he couldn't have that. So Kris narrowed his eyes and shifted his weight slightly, still looking casual enough that he wouldn't alarm Sehun but into a position that would allow him to break out into a run if needed. The forest was a safe spot to Sehun, then, if he was willing to expose his wings like that. Interesting. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," Kris remarked, sounding completely nonchalant. "If you really tear that wing, it's going to hurt for maybe a month

Trouble.

That totally threw Sehun off. Cade was the only person who ever called him that. But the person standing before him does not bear any resemblance to Cade. Was it just a coincidence? Was the man just using random words to substitute for his name and coincidently came up with the same nickname Cade coined for him? Or was he somehow associated with his curator friend? Aside from Baekhyun, Cade was the only other person who knew where his hiding spot in the forest was. Did this man really just randomly stumbled upon him in the forest, or did Cade sold him out? Questions after questions flooded Sehun’s mind that he momentarily have forgotten that the man was still there. And when he snapped out of his thoughts, the man was already lunging towards him, fangs bared and ready to kill.

Vampire!Sehun’s eyes widened, tendrils of terror curled into his stomach, as the very monster he feared the most was heading straight towards him. He was too caught off guard that he forgot to use his wings. Instead, he took an uncalculated step back
