Since my room mate is halloween, all I have heard is arguments against both 66 and 67. I haven't looking into it too much yet, what do you think are the reasons to vote in support of 66?

The Oregon Center for Public Policy link above explains it pretty well. Basically, Measure 66 raises taxes on individuals who make more than $125,000 per year, or families who make more than $250,000 per year. The new tax would not be applied to the entire income -only to that portion of the income that exceeds those levels. It also ends the state tax subtraction for federal taxes for those high-earning taxpayers, and it cuts taxes on unemployment benefits. The tax increase is needed because the poor economy, and rising unemployment rates, have caused state revenues to fall and the budget to go into deficit, requiring reduction in the very services that people most need when unemployed or struggling.
