"Would you like to go to the beach?" Fuji asked much too late one evening.
"Right...now?" Kawamura was puzzled, to say the least.
"It's stuffy in here." Fuji said.
How Fuji could feel stuffy in that huge room of his...
"I'm not kidding."
"Fuji, you can't be-"
He was interrupted with a kiss and it was probably just as well since he wasn't entirely sure where he was going with that sentence anyway. Sure going to the beach would be nice, but... probably not this late at night. It wasn't the strangest thing Fuji had ever suggested. Kawamura could never be sure when to take these suggestions seriously.
But Fuji didn't seem to have any intentions of even leaving the room when he settled into Kawamura's lap and shifted his weight in just the right way. He left Kawamura's mouth and kissed his way to his neck where he hovered and breathed onto the damp skin.
"Kinda what the ocean air feels like," Fuji breathed again, "isn't it?"
Kawamura breathed in sharply; shivers from his neck down to his arms and fingers.
"Mmm." Fuji just smiled.
Fuji kissed him slowly at first just barely opening his lips and rocking, slowly grinding into Kawamura's lap. Fuji always initiated these things and Kawamura had never really said anything about it, but when Fuji started this he was never really... sure what to do. On one hand, he wanted to grab Fuji hard and pull him closer until the kiss was so deep that he could hardly breathe. But on the other, that seemed selfish and too forward and he didn't know how far Fuji wanted to go...
So he settled his hands at Fuji's waist so that that they were light and moveable and not in a way that would hinder Fuji's actions. And then Fuji did it himself, deepened the kiss and pushed his body into Kawamura's so that he almost lost his balance and fell over backwards, digging his fingers into Fuji's waist.
Fuji pulled away just enough to speak. Kawamura felt his breath on every word.
"You can touch me wherever you want, you know."
When Fuji settled back into the kiss, Kawamura found that he didn't want anything more than that warm feeling of Fuji in his lap with Fuji's fingers at the back of his neck and Fuji's hips moving through his loose fingers. There was a time before when he could have only dreamed what it would be like to kiss Fuji Shuusuke. This was more than enough.
But Fuji wanted more, and his body was tempting, rocking in Kawamura's lap, pushing harder with his fingertips until they were both moving against each other with more than a hint of desperation. Kawamura could have been happy to just settle into a kiss, but he could be happy with Fuji's hands creeping under his shirt and touching his stomach and chest. And he could be happy with Fuji's tongue sliding against his neck and breath hovering near his ear.
He could probably be happy letting Fuji lead him to the bed too.
The sheets were cold and lying on top of Fuji like that always made Kawamura a little nervous. Fuji was smaller than him, shorter and more slim and he looked fragile sometimes. But when Kawamura moved his hands down the smooth planes of his skin and felt the muscles underneath he knew that Fuji wasn't weak or fragile. He always knew but it never stopped him from being careful.
He didn't even realize Fuji was doing it until he heard the zipper sliding down and Fuji pulled his pants down and past his hips. He closed his eyes and breath hitched in his throat when Fuji's right hand wrapped around and started pulling.
And Kawamura just couldn't shake the feeling that ever since this started something didn't feel right.
"Relax..." Fuji said. "You're tense."
"Well... your family is downstairs and it's probably late for me to be over here and when you do that I-- mmm."
Fuji chuckled.
"You know you can stay the night. I want you to."
"Then... we should get ready for bed. It's late." Kawamura started to lift himself.
"What is it?" Fuji asked.
"Hm?"
"What's wrong?"
Saying the truth was tricky sometimes. Especially when he had a boyfriend that could see right through him. It felt that way, looking at Fuji. Kawamura was sitting up on the bed and Fuji's hand was on his thigh and moving down towards his knee. Touching for the sake of contact.
"Does this..." Kawamura said gesturing between them "does this make you... I mean, is this what you want?"
Fuji tilted his head just a little.
"Is that what this is about?"
"Well..." Kawamura could almost feel his face turning red and he just wanted to look at anything in the room that wasn't Fuji's eyes.
Fuji smiled.
"I have nothing to say," Fuji said. "Nothing that you don't already know."
But it wasn't that easy and Fuji had to know it wasn't that easy. It was a little scary and a little weird... but they were together. Really officially together and he was still getting used to the idea. Some people knew and some people didn't know. Most people didn't know, and ever since this started he felt less confused about some things, but more confused about others but when he felt Fuji from behind, his hands coming around to hook together in front of his chest he breathed in and out.
When Fuji did things like that he didn't feel quite so confused anymore. When Fuji did things like that it felt nothing but right.
"You want to go to sleep? Let's go to sleep." Fuji said and Kawamura felt his voice vibrating on his back.
Then when Kawamura turned around it didn't just feel like a kiss, it felt more like a breath of fresh, crisp air. And Fuji had said it was ok so this time... maybe he'd just believe him.
He was still careful, unbuttoning the front of Fuji's shirt slowly while Fuji leaned in closer, and when he touched the bare skin of Fuji's chest and arms and neck he soaked in every inch of it with his fingertips, closing his eyes so he could just feel.
Fuji pulled him down so Kawamura was lying on top of him again. The same place they were before, but it felt different. The bed seemed wider and longer and less restricting and Fuji's skin was endless and tasted alive.
There were just too many sensations around him, Fuji's hands between his thighs, his too-soft lips, the bed creaking in a slow and steady rhythm. Then his fingers were inside of Fuji, prodding and stretching him and Fuji was spreading his legs apart to let him. He was watching Fuji's face carefully.
"Is it ok? Does it hurt?" Kawamura always asked.
Fuji made a noise that could have been no and could have been yes, but more importantly was that he said "more" and pulled on Kawmura's hips. It was tight and slow but Fuji pulled until Kawamura was all the way inside then he settled and kissed Kawamura's lips softly and nodded. Kawamura would never go any further until Fuji did just that.
At first he moved slowly, looking directly into Fuji's eyes. And if Fuji knew how amazing he looked... With that thin sheen of sweat on his forehead, the muscles of his neck flexing with each breath. He was looking somewhere behind Kawamura and he looked like what he was feeling was anything but pain.
The rhythm was entirely set by Fuji's hands on his back, but Fuji seemed to know what both of them wanted somehow. His hands were gentle when they needed to be and firm when they needed to be and Kawamura couldn't help but feel like he was swimming.
The air in the room felt thick enough to be water.
"Fuji... I..."
"Shhh." Then Fuji's hands were on his shoulders and Fuji's heels were digging into the small of his back and he was pressing his lips together, groaning inside of his mouth. Kawamura craned his neck kissed him soft and then hard and felt Fuji's hips moving up towards his stomach. And then everything was rough and fast. Too fast.
There had been something he was going to say...
Even afterwards when he was wet and messy and lying next to Fuji looking up at the ceiling, he still couldn't remember what it was.
"Were you serious about what you said before?" Kawamura asked.
"About going to the beach?"
"Yeah."
"I was."
"What about tomorrow? I mean... I guess it's not as exciting when you plan it, but it could still be fun, right?"
The edges of Fuji's lips spread into a real, genuine smile.
"It could be." He said. Then he curled into Kawamura's chest and closed his eyes.
He stayed awake until Fuji was asleep.
He remembered what it was he wanted to say.
But then it didn't seem important anymore. He closed his eyes and wrapped an arm around Fuji's waist and just before he fell asleep he decided that he didn't need to say things that Fuji already knew.
