Just a few Yasuba drabbles written for

The more Subaru is around Yasu, the more he notices Yasu's... little habits. He hums while he's tying his shoes and he organizes everything in his sock drawer just so. He clucks his tongue when he's flipping channels on the TV and he always locks the front door twice.
Maybe they are things Yasu doesn't even notice. Subaru wonders if maybe he does things like that too, but he's sure he doesn't. That'd be silly. The more he thinks about it, the more he decides Yasu is doing it on purpose.
Every time he ties his shoes, it's a different song.
Subaru spends three days and three nights at Yasu's house before he even realizes he's been there for so long. They mostly fit into each other's clothes, mostly like to do the same things. On the morning of the third day, Yasu says, "You always do that."
Subaru shields his eyes from the sun pouring in through the window. "What are you talking about?"
"You talk to yourself when you're getting up," Yasu says.
"I do not," Subaru says.
"Yes you do," Yasu says. "Every morning."
He could bring up the clucking and the humming. He could bring up that silly sock drawer.
Yasu smiles and Subaru hits him on the head. "I do not, stupid."
The first time Subaru kisses Yasu, it's up on stage, which is wildly inappropriate, both of them agree. Not the fact that they kissed (with tongue, ignoring Hina's attempts to stop them before it ran from one song into the next), but the fact that something so intimate was laid bare for everyone to see. Subaru left the stage feeling naked in an uncomfortable way and it didn't feel quite right until they were miles away from everyone and everything and Subaru could kiss Yasu alone.
The first time Subaru kisses Yasu, it's like something inside of Subaru is unlocked and released. It feels so strangely natural, almost surreal, to the point that when the lights flash and the crowd is screaming, he's forgotten where he is at all. He's lost somewhere in Yasu's lips, against Yasu's body that fits so perfectly next to his. They're so close that he can hear Yasu swallow. Yasu asks him to do it again.
The second time Subaru kisses Yasu is much later. They're in Subaru's hotel room, pressed against each other and for as long as it's taken, it's much slower than Subaru anticipated. He thought about kissing Yasu the whole way back to the room. He thought about slamming him up against the wall and he thought about pushing him back onto the bed. But, when they actually do arrive there, Subaru locks the door behind them, takes Yasu's face in his hands, and both of them are surprised by how soft it is. It's drawn out and slow like there isn't any hurry. They have plenty of time.
The first time Subaru really kisses Yasu - the first time it counts - they're completely alone.
At 4 AM Yasu may or may not be asleep. He's probably awake, Subaru thinks, and he walks down the hallway to Yasu's hotel room quietly.
He uses the key to get inside (Yasu gave it to him early in the afternoon and closed Subaru's hand around it before he had time to be surprised). Yasu is probably up playing his guitar or watching a movie. He's even more sure of it when he pushes the door open and the light is on. But, when he comes around the corner and Yasu's bed is in view, his hand is curled around the neck of his guitar and he's lying on his back asleep.
The first thing Subaru thinks is that after two failed attempts at surprising Yasu in his sleep, here he is, right in front of him, completely dead to the world. Subaru could pounce on him, or yell in his face, then take a picture with his phone. He reaches into his pocket for it, gleefully, but Yasu turns over just as he's got the phone halfway open and makes a little sighing noise when he rolls over on his side.
Then Subaru doesn't want to wake him up anymore.
He sighs, snaps his phone shut and crawls into the bed next to Yasu, curling up against his body. Yasu sleeps soundly and Subaru moves as slowly as he can so as not to wake him. This is absolutely not what he should be doing with a sleeping Yasu, and Subaru wonders if maybe he's losing his touch...
"Shibuyan?" Yasu says, his voice scratchy with sleep.
"Shh," Subaru says. "Go back to sleep."
