I'm glad.
And I have to point some typo to you. Here it is:

Father, mother, a younger sister that Buffy hhe had, an uncle, three cousins, a nephew and a great-aunt.

Plz tell me you have already something else to post. Good Giles fic is very rare lately.

Ouch ouch ouch, and what an interesting and distressing (in a good way) story. The Watcher bearing witness to her deeds, and all the mistakes. What a record of grief. Thanks for writing this-- I hadn't thought about the Watcher's job in quite this way before.

Thank you for reading and commenting, I really appreciate it!

We do know that Giles chronicles everything that happens and it would make sense that he especially writes about the mistakes and the worst consequences.
We don't know when the Council was created, but recording the dead for remembrance and prayers was commonplace in the early Middle Ages (at least the mighty ones) and I can easily seen how it could become an habit for the active Watchers. And one that Giles would be honored to follow, for his Slayer and for humanity.

What an interesting idea: a book of the dead. All those casualties, most of whom never have their moment. Dark and very intriguing.

Your writing is of a very high standard, and the fact that this is your second language is astonishing. There were only a couple of moments where it stuttered. If you want details I'm happy to send them privately; just let me know.

Now, having enjoyed this piece so much, I shall have to go and explore your tags! Thanks for the story.

Thank you for this very kind comment! *blush*
I would be more than happy to know where my English was awkward, thank you so much for this suggestion.

I like the idea that the anonymous victims of Sunnydale, especially the ones who died by the Scoobies's fault, were acknowledged, if only with a line in a book. Giles was the perfect memorialist.

Oh. I liked this so much better than season 7. Whoever wrote that should have consulted you first. Giles would then be written correctly. And he and Buffy should always be together.

Thank you so much! I'm very glad you read my fic and liked it.

Ah, season 7, open wound of those who love Giles. At least, we get to rewrite it over and over in fanfiction.
