...He doesn't seem to have come, after all. But I've found wagonmates I respect and trust.

And you? Have you - deduced anything further about this place?

[Ken does have his theories, but Shinichi's a detective! His opinions and methods are worth admiration consideration.]

[Shinichi smiles. Ken was rapidly becogin one of his favorite people on the Trail.]

I have some theories on the situation. No proof of course, but the circumstantial evidence would seem to support it.

[Therein lies the rub, doesn't it? But an unproven theory's still better than traveling blind.]

I don't know yet if this has anything to do with the current situation, but much of this reminds me of something my father mentioned in his last letter.

About his most recent project. He's a writer, and he was writing a story for a computer game intended to be a fully immersive experience.
