[Ken doesn't eat much, so he's returning to his wagon early when he notices Maya sitting there. And while they've never met before, he's concerned. That's not very encouraging posture.

So he heads over, putting slightly more pressure on one leg than the other: he's healing, but he did get himself wounded on a rather ill-planned supply raid.

The only trouble is - what does he say?]

[Maya looks up, sees his limp, and feels even worse, so she just looks down as she responds.]

Yeah, but I... I'm okay over here...

[There's an unspoken "but" hanging at the end of that phrase. He's not sure what to say or even whether he should speak up, so he'll hover for a bit, worried. Part of him is tempted to just excuse himself and walk away, but that's because it's easier. He doesn't want to choose the easy option any more.]

[As he hovers, Maya actually looks up at him, and sighs a little.]

Really, it's okay. The space by the fire should go to the people who actually did stuff when we had to deal with the zombies... they're the ones who really deserve the comfort of it.

[Unexpected wagonmate is unexpected! Maya hadn't thought ahead so far as to think that if she's speaking in a wagon she shares with other people, those other people will hear her. So she jumps a little, and looks up at her.]

W-Well, I don't know. I just... I don't want to be useless in another fight.

I'm not considerably skilled in terms of hand-to-hand, but I can teach you how to handle the guns. Sanada-san or Aragaki-san would be better in terms of close-combat... try asking them later.

You aren't very strong. Something heavy wouldn't work for you. I'd suggest something hand to hand, a martial art of some kind, if you can find someone to teach it.
