Well, I just got a call from my instructor about when the test dates for my JKD certification and instructorship will be. The main test will be Sat, Dec 6th for about 5 hours, and I'll be continuing my testing throughout the week with the final day being Sat, Dec 13th. I can skip Kickboxing on the intervening Friday if I want. I like how he said ( Read more... )

What all does the JKD test involve? I'll be curious to know how it goes!

Well, the day of will at the very least require demonstration of knowledge and ability regarding the curriculum through Level 12. Other than that... we'll find out ^_^ You're welcome to come watch if you can find a way down.

Time is currently TBA, but it will be in the 11a to 4p vicinity, I think. If that's a bit long for you, you could show up after about halfway for the higher level stuff. I won't be the only one testing, but all our tests are comprehensive. So the tests start at Level 1, with everyone performing, and as people finish what they're testing for, they drop off from the testing and people who still have Levels to go continue.
