Okay, bit shaky getting started, but there were some good moments. It was quite clearly Rory's episode, which I was very pleased about, and I strongly suspect next episode will see something awesome from him (and it better had do now, otherwise I'm going to look like a right prat).

There was also enough nightmare fuel to fell an elephant. To quote my sister upon seeing the Doctor!ganger, "I'll be seeing you in my nightmares, mister!"

PS: Am I imagining things or did I see a Cyberman foot kicking down a door in the Next Time trailer?

YES... but, my son's bedtime is getting later and later as the Dr Who slot moves further back... Last year, he was little enough to send off to bed with the promise we'd watch it later, but he's doing that evil growing up thing ;)

Though I did, in fact, nearly have an earlier bedtime for the kid, because it was scary, and he is wise enough to tell me if he thinks it's too scary. But we sat it out, and I'm hoping they can have something other than the obvious depressing ending I can't help foretelling.
