I have been listening to this song by the Shins quite a bit of late. I was tempted to simply post these lyrics and allow them to speak for themselves, but some people have expressed a dislike for that sort of thing, and I understand why. I was actually thinking of you and Buck when I mentioned people who do not like the lyrics sans an explanation. I have done that many times in the past, but I have amended my ways. It really is nice to know why a song means something to someone.

My friend, you owe me no apologies. I was thinking just recently about it having been 14 years since we first met---an astonishing amount of time, it seems to me now. You are one of my oldest and most trusted friends---and I consider myself blessed for this fact (amongst others). You have my support and friendship to the last.
