All I want is to listen to music, and share ideas with people...

Is that too much to ask?

I tell ya, I do not consider myself an idiot, and I am certainly not web illiterate, but this Last.fm thing is really starting to get on my nerves.  First of all, I am forced to use Windows Media Player, which I despise, since it is the only player I've got that is compatible with Last.fm.  The only player I use is ( Read more... )

Bill Frissell combined with Buster Keaton?

Ok, when did I start having wish-fulfillment dreams about LiveJournal? And how can I keep from waking up from this dream?

Nope, you're not dreaming, my friend. Frissell released the album several years ago, actually. And, if memory serves, there was more than one volume!

Frissell and Keaton are both (together and separately) big influences on my current theatre project.

Uh. I can commiserate, at least, that I do not like, or really see the usefulness of, Last.fm. I guess I have plenty of other sources, like the journal of my friend irkthepurist, for music suggestions. (I use SoulSeek to download music, still.)

No, you shouldn't have WMP playing if you're playing music from the web site. The music recommended for you at LFM should play in a pop-up module from the site. I believe when you're listening to your own music in WMP, the LFM software "scrobbles" it so others can see what you have??

I'll add you to my list on LFM.
