I can't believe the election's nearly over. I've been following it for nearly two years; ever since there were about thirteen candidates and Mike Gravell was throwing rocks into big rivers in an effort to drum up support.

Come on, Barack, come on.

I'm also trying very hard to get out of last minute shift at work tomorrow. BECAUSE I CAN'T BE WASHING DISHES WHEN BARACK WINS. Booo.

Maybe it's cynicism (or nervousness) talking, but I'm not daring to place complete faith in his victory until it's all over, just in case something goes awry. Is that wrong?Oh, God. The devastation would be palpable.

Also, although I try and lean on the Democratic side of neutral and try and be "nice", every time McCain smiles I feel at turns unnerved and very angry.

BUTTERFLIES. IN MY STOMACH. God only knows how he and Michelle must feel!
