The portrait is amazing. And wow that tree...this year, my parents had both giant maple trees in our front yard cut down because of "disease." Their yard just looks naked and sun parched now. It makes me so sad.

wow, that definitely describes my yard. my mom now feels that the extremely minuscule amount of rot found in the very centre of some of the cut-down branches justifies her decision to cut it down in the first place. she had it cut down to make my dumb pool get warmer. i'm going to feel so guilty swimming this summer.
