Oh, I love this. Not only did it feel very much canonical and in character, but I'm reeling a bit from how much reading Sherlock's point of view was like looking in the mirror, for me (well, not the bit about dead cats, but the emotional side of things).

And I loved Sherlock trying to figure out John. Your writing has great depth of observation, I'm sure Sherlock would agree. :)

I'm VERY glad to hear that no only I managed to make it sound canonic for you, but also realistic! As I said I mostly based on my own experience, trying to shift it enough to fit Sherlock, so I'm glad it actually rang true for someone else as well! :)
