Chiming in :)

I was astounded by our table portion of the launch. 15 tables was unbelievably great IMHO.

I do have to agree that the hall attendance sucked donkey dick. What a crap turnout. Our book sales were also astounding based on the hall attendance, but yes, I'm happy too, but not thrilled :)

Seven cons so far want us to bring our game there. Three are firmly scheduled, 2 in the wings, 2 we have to work with yet.

I was amazed, thrilled and pleased that we had 15 tables. I was fully expecting to have maybe 4. I knew a few people who were going to play for sure, but a lot more whom I talked to who were ambivalent, along the lines of "Well, if not much else is going on..." It was key to have Bruce, who is very recognizable, as marshal and judge for every slot ( ... )

Guys, let me assure you... what you had happen at Origins was nothing short of a near-miracle, it was so amazing. Yeah, the numbers were down (the positioning of July 4th had a devastating effect on the show, I believe), and you still had excellent participation, especially for brand new launch from (let's be honest) a relatively unknown group. The fact that so many other cons already are courting you is pretty huge, too.

And, yeah, being part of the Gathering was a great move. So far as I know, the only "campaign" that has suffered from that has been the Mutants & Masterminds folks; apparently, there's just no real effort to service them for some reason.

I am proud and pleased to be a part of the campaign, and I am very happy for you guys.
