Inspired by someone else's journal, this is my ongoing list of books I've read in 2009. (This includes rereads.)

A
Adams, Douglas: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Austen, Jane: Sense & Sensibility

B
Barber, David: Bach, Beethoven, and the Boys: Music History as it Ought to be Taught
Black, Holy, and Castelluci, Cecil: Geektastic: Stories ( Read more... )

Srsly. That was a reread. I read it in two days the first time and one day the second.

I also want to read The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox. It was a B&N Recommend, so we had a metric shitload of copies, and instead of returning them, they went bargain, for $3.98. And then I got my discount off of that. I wasn't sure how much I'd like it, but a hardcover for $2.79? Why the hell not? And eaterofnoodles liked it. So that's next after Catch-22 and Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (another bargain find!).

I am not in NYC, but I'm in DC and can therefore make a day trip. I think this sounds awesome and I'd love to meet up with you and go!
