I feel like I'm being cheated out of Fall.  I count down the days, every year, till summer is over and cool temps, sharp blue skies, and the beautiful colors of the trees arrive.  This year?  It's only just gotten cooler, though not as cool as usual for almost the end of October, and the leaves?  Nothin'.  Most of the trees are still in full leaf ( Read more... )

*Hugs* I agree with you re: being cheated out of autumn *sighs* It's the same here, I'm afraid. We were tricked earlier by a few really nice, cold, crisp days, but the rest of so-called autumn has been absurdly warm, it's very depressing.

Our temperatures are apparently set to plummet from tomorrow - but we'll see. I'm not holding my breath.

I really hope autumn arrives with you very soon & stays.

It still looks like summer here and it is so depressing. :-/ I say those of us who suffer through summer are owed a nice Fall/Winter! Get to work, Mother Nature!

I'm sorry Fall is failing you, too. ::hugs:: Here's hoping things turn around the right way for both of us, and soon.

Sorry to hear it even looks like summer with you :-( Our trees are turning & you can see it's autumn, you just can't feel it. I agree fully with you *Pokes Mother Nature*

Thank you. *Joins on the hoping* *Hugs*

It just finally got really cool here, I hope it stays that way! The foliage is moderately turning, much has already just turned brown and fallen because summer was way too dry. Apparently in a few years there'll be a shortage of Christmas trees as the seedlings didn't survive the hot draught. Really, couldn't the rain have been distributed equally between our places?! ;-)

I noticed today that the sugar maples seem to finally be turning. They're always the first trees to turn here and they're usually done way before now. But, at least, we're finally getting some color. Most trees here, too, I think are mostly just going to go brown. :-/

Yes! Why is it so hard for Mother Nature to distribute rain appropriately? It's never just right. Yeesh. ;-)
