Dissidia [duodecim] 012: Character Predictions (FINAL FANTASY IV and V)

As we all know, Kain has already been revealed in the new Dissidia (and he looks MAD AWESOME) However, I feel it worth talking about my past predictions when it comes to FFIV and V. I mean, why not?

I somewhat agree on Gilgamesh (he's become such a novelty character throughout the series now that I can't see him representing a single game... but it still makes sense for him to be there), but I've found that Krile is way more popular in Japan and pushed as one of the most important/popular characters by Square. Since Dissidia is coming from Japan (I'd assume), I'd say that Krile has a much better chance than Faris.

Yeah, Gilgamesh originated in V and it's generally assumed that when he was sucked into the rift he then reappeared in VIII and after that...it gets very fanwanky haha.

Really? But Faris seems to be extremely popular there too. At least she is on sites like Pixiv where she is the focus of most of the FFV art.

While Dissidia is coming from Japan, they are trying to think internationally and see who is popular that way. I'm still going to hold that I think Faris has a better chance, especially since some of the designers have expressed interest in her. Of course, it's all moot if Gilgamesh makes it in LOL.

I guess I run into more Krile because I tend to search for Galuf specifically a lot lol. But I still just get the feeling that Krile is more popular than Faris. I find Faris is still very popular, though. I'd rather have Faris than Krile. I can just see Krile as more likely.

Of course, I'd rather have Galuf than anyone :)

Oh, I like Gilgamesh too. XD I doubt he'd be a character, though...

I personally kinda doubt he will too. It just...doesn't fit with me at personally. The reason I put him as my "most-likely" choice though is his popularity and the fact Nomura had mentioned considering him for the last game as a secret optional character.

IDK. I'm very curious to who they go with though.
