Nice to know there's SOMETHING worthwhile in Cordova.
I lived in Memphis for ten years (went to White Station High). At the beginning of those ten years, Cordova was, like, horse-riding places. At the end it was Yuppieville and sprawl.
Oh wow, really? That's cool! I went to Cordova High.
I've always liked Cordova. Everything is like...right there. Malco, Incredible Pizza, Hastings, Targets and tons of cool restaurants like Ghengis Grill and Sakisui....mmm. <3. But yeah, it's pretty much older white people with kids adopted from foreign lands (I wish I was kidding) and young black people who are trying to turn it into the next Frayser via calling it "The Dirty Dova".
that store sounds awesome. I'm not familiar with Cordova AT ALL, I pretty much never go to that part of town. Where exactly is this store? I'd kind of like to check it out |D what are their prices like?
It's right off Gtown Pkway, near the Fox and the Hound Pub. 841 N. Germantown Pkwy, Cordova TN 38018 is the actual address (And if you look up 'Power Play Cordova' it'll take you to their official site.
Prices were great! Most of the really new games were about what you'd expect ($50-60) but some of the slightly older games were quite a bit cheaper. I saw Mass Effect 2 for like $25 (when it's still like $50 at Gamestop) Hell, I picked up 'Lunar: Silver Star Harmony' for $22 instead of Gamestop's $40.
And, apparently, they have Super Smash Tourneys too. <33
