After we returned to the bar I sent Nina down to the basement for an hour of training, Rufus followed after her. I do hope she trains and does not spend all her time down there playing with Rufus I thought, watching the two of them disappear behind the door that led below

I walked into the basement and patted Rufus on the head gently. Just another day. "Looks like it's just us boy." I said quietly, my brow furrowing as thoughts of other slayers passed in my mind. I started off with stretching, then done a lovely fifty minutes of laying into the punch bag.

My breath was coming in soft, short gasps as I wiped my forehead with teh back of my hand. My muscles rippling under my Sports T shirt and shorts as I ran up the stairs and into the back of the bar. Rufus followed without a sound as I made my way up to our apartment. Pushing the door open and stepping inside, looking around to see if Jaide was there. With no sign of her I crept to the fridge, sneaking a bottle of water and gulping from it without getting a cup.
