not wanting to disturb the person "playing" piano, she headed over to a vulcan lyre. having never seen it, she picked it up to inspect it, but politely chose not to strum. instead she set it down again - or meant to, but one clumsy move sent it crashing to the ground with a cacophonous twang. now that the silence was broken, apologies streamed out of her without so much of a thought. ]

[Julian's entire body tensed, his hand reflexively tightening around Ezri's shoulders. Gul Dukat. On the station. His expression became grimly determined, and he turned toward the exit.]

She wasn't expecting anyone else to be in there, so she was surprised to not only find someone at the piano, but even more surprised when she saw who it was.
Instinctively, her hand went to the phaser at her hip, but she made no move to pull it out - she knew the storm was over and that he wasn't like that anymore. It still made her feel a little more at ease to have it, though. (Which was something she hated - it made her feel weak, like she needed a crutch. But she'd get to dealing with that later.)]
