[ usually it was worf who was the first one up, but this morning he woke up alone. he'd sat there for a moment, going over the crew rosters in his head to see if he'd gone to sleep without reminding himself that jadzia had been assigned an early shift (for whatever reason she might be needed before she was usually on duty), but couldn't recall any. if it wasn't for work purposes and she'd neglected to wake him up...

he wondered if there was something on her mind or it was simply because she hadn't been able to get back to sleep if waking up. as well as worf knew jadzia, sometimes he couldn't tell. she was just as skilled as he was when it came to masking her emotions; he'd never admit it, though.

worf found her at the replimat and took a seat without asking permission. he didn't need to, after all. ]

Were you having trouble sleeping?

[ nevermind that the raktijino in her hand told him that she didn't intend on going back to bed. he wouldn't suggest it to her. ]
