[ the test has been reprogrammed several times since james t. kirk originally took and beat the it via cheating, but the set hasn't changed much. there's a holographic simulation in addition to the original scenario room, but some people would rather take the test here where it all began and not tangled up in photons, light, and force fields

Orders were orders though. McCoy could gripe until the cows came home, James T. Kirk would always manage to get him on that transporter pad and scatter his atoms to somewhere completely different. Today was no exception; but this was not the place he expected to be sent to and he shared this sentiment very much vocally as he glanced around the testing room. ]

[ he'd have to remind harry that they didn't wear traditional uniforms of any kind when taking this test. he wasn't a command student and even he knew that. and why harry had put a character in science blue made no sense. he could understand confusion with red and gold of that era, but blue? oh, harry, harry, harry. you have much to learn, my young padawan. ]
