[ Kirk was convinced this could work. Ambassador Sarek wasn't one to lie. Well, no Vulcan would lie really. So he had managed to drag Bones back to Northern Sickbay. Hopefully... this would work. ]

[The dosage of lexorin Kirk had administered had done wonders on McCoy and he had spent the duration confined to his quarters. Although he had made a conscious effort of monitoring Spock’s condition while he had been there, he was not surprised when Jim finally turned up to bring him to Northern Sickbay.]

[ the elder, more lively version of the katra-less man entered sickbay in silence, keeping his words to himself as he came to stand solemnly in the background behind the younger, alternate versions of his best friends. he wondered if they'd figured out what was going on or if he was going to have to break the promise he made to himself not to get involved and shed light on the situation for them. ]
