[ Today finds Ena sitting in the quarters she shares with Deven. The door to their quarters is open, Ena's way of saying she'd be more than happy to be bothered by someone. She's sitting on the desk cross legged with her gold uniform shirt spread on her lap, leaving her in all black, a look she doesn't sport often

[It had been a terrible kind of week for everyone. Hearing that news, and knowing that he couldn't say anything about it-

-it was a frustrating kind of thing to deal with. He'd been avoiding answering anybody's questions about the whole affair, but it was getting more and more difficult to just keep his mouth shut on the whole thing.

So, he returned to their shared room and, finding the door open (which was odd), he stepped inside in time to see her jump off the desk and lose herself in the windows, where he watched her for a few moments before moving up behind her and placing a hand on her shoulder, trying to lighten the mood a little with his comments.]

I'd warn you about sitting on desks, but I don't think you'd listen.

[jimeeena]

[ She turned to look up at Deven with a small smile. ]

You're right. I probably wouldn't.

[ She placed a hand on his and gave it a small squeeze. ]

What's up?

Not much.

[He took a step closer to her, sliding his arms around her waist and resting his head on her shoulder.]

What about you?

[ Her smile broadened and she ran a hand through Deven's hair. ]

Well I was going to do some reading, but I keep spacing out.

[ Kirk leaned against the doorframe. ]

[ It took her a minute to realize he was there. When she did, she gave him a small smile and a questioning look. ]

How are you doing?
