[After having been punched in the face by Jim Kirk's brother, Julian had hurriedly left the party to try and find a medical station in order to get the bleeding under control and treat what was probably a broken nose. At least it hurt badly enough to make him suspect it

[McCoy had heard there had been a skirmish in the Holodeck, but his attention had been on Emony Dax who, after a taste of dancing for the firs ttime, wanted to continue being led around the simulation for the entirety of the evening. Fortunately her attention was directed elsewhere and McCoy managed to slip out for a breath of fresh air, when he caught sight of someone stalking down the corridor. And into a medical bay. Oh dear. He opens the doors and looks inside, oblivious to who is in there.]

Is everything all right?

[Julian righted himself, pushing off the wall. He attempted to wipe more blood away, which was a bad idea because it hurt like hell.]

Quite.

[The last thing he wanted was another one of Kirk's circle to deal with]

[Oh great. It's Bashir. McCoy sighs at the curt reply he retrieved from the older man before he steps into the medical bay. He was a doctor, mandatory day rest or not.]

Since when do you get into brawls?

I don't. Generally.

[Julian wasn't going to elaborate on what had happened to him. Word would get around soon enough. He moved to find the emergency medical kit and a cooling gel pack.]

[ She's just walking down the hall towards her quarters when she sees someone slip into the medical station. That doesn't seem like a good thing. At all. So she quickens her pace and peers into the aid station, eyes widening when her eyes light upon Julian and his blood-pouring nose. ]

What the hell happened to you?!

[Julian moved to rummage for the medkit, not too pleased that Jimena had found him. He opted for stating the obvious, and with a faintly sarcastic tone.]

I walked into a fist.

[jimeeena]

I guess that's better than walking into a wall.

[ She grabbed a few tissues from a dispenser and walked of to Julian with a slightly concerned look. ]

Here. Let me help.

[He eyed her for a moment.]

Maybe you shouldn't. Since you're a Kirk, and apparently they all have it in for me.

[ maybe it was a bad idea to follow him to the medical station. she'd spent enough time waffling over it after he'd left. when they'd parted ways on the dance floor, it was something of an unofficial pact not to see each other for the rest of the night (at the very least). but then he'd been punched in the face and unfortunately she'd only caught it as he was stumbling out the door. she didn't know who did it, or why, just that it made her angry and if she found out... but she wasn't going to get into that tonight, and cause even more of a scene. instead she was going to go after him and make sure he was all right. better to do that and be terribly awkward than feel guilty over doing nothing at all.

she palmed the panel and the door opened obediently. gaila entered slowly, not sure what she was expecting to see. ]

[God. Could this night get any worse? Now he had Gaila seeing him like this. He moved away from the wall, and headed over to rummage in the medical supplies to cover his embarrassment.]

I'm going to be fine. You didn't need to leave the party.

I don't want to stay at a party where people are getting punched.

[ much less him, specifically. she moved in a little more, feeling somewhat trapped when the door closed behind her. ]

What happened?

Sam Kirk happened. He tapped me on the shoulder, made sure I was Doctor Bashir, and then...

[He grabbed some hygienic wipes to mop up the blood. It bloody well hurt but he didn't fancy looking a bloody mess in front of her.]

Apparently I was harassing his brother.
