[ when the voices quietened before disappearing deanna felt relief - full betazoids were trained in being able to filter out the voices, however she'd never felt anything of that magnitude before. she'd found an overlay of the station from the database, asking a few questions and learning that the promenade or various messhalls where were the 'residents' usually were when not trying to work on leaving. after what had happened deanna felt that a drink, or some chocolate icecream was needed.

once finding the promenade she replicated the icecream, looking for somewhere to sit - which wasn't hard. she spotted a young trill woman with a drink and some reading material - hopefully she wouldn't mind someone joining her. deanna still had questions and wonders, but perhaps just casual conversation was more needed at this point. indicating to the seat by her she asked, ]

Do you mind?

Not at all. Deanna, isn't i t?

[She offered her a quick smile, and set her PADD aside to give her her full attention.]

How are you doing? It's been a while since we talked.

[ deanna gave her a smile back, pulling out the chair and placing her icecream on the table. she was a little puzzled, not quite sure where they'd met. she couldn't recall the womans face. ]

I'm a little shaken by the situation, but I've heard that more had happened. I don't mean to sound rude, but I don't remember where we've met.

Oh.I'm sorry. It was when I first came to the station. At least I thought it was you. You're from Betazed, correct?

I'm Jadzia Dax, CSO of Deep Space Nine.

Commander Kiele Nar to the Bozeman.

[ The Trill's hand lowered slightly from the combadge as no one responded. Again her eyes glanced around the area around her. From her brief time visiting both hosts of Dax, she had remembered what Deep Space 9 looked like. This was very similar to it... but something was off. It didn't feel Cardassian. At least that was what the other twenty voices gave her the feeling of.

So she turned in an attempt to find her bearings. ]

[Jadzia looked up briefly from her PADD having heard a familiar sounding voice. But then she stared, and stood up, her PADD falling to the table, forgotten.]

Kiele? Kiele Nar?

[She couldn't believe it, but it certainly looked like her old friend standing there in the flesh.]

[trillingly]

[ The Commander turned to the person addressing her. Staring her in the face was an old friend. Not just any friend, but Jadzia Dax. She had died just a year ago... but she was standing in front of her. Rather, sitting. Maybe a temporal distortion? They seemed so damn common these days with the fight with the Borg and the Dominion War... ]

God. How long has it been? Two years? When you wrote and told me you'd been promoted to Commander, I wanted to be there to help you celebrate. I'm so sorry, things just got so hectic on the station. I couldn't get away.

[She strode forward and enthusiastically embraced Nar, then she pulled back.]

What am I doing? You must have so many questions. But it's good to see you again.

[Marlena had been in the promenade for a couple of hours by the time Jadzia entered the bar. Talking to Nia and the Doctor had helped distract her from how she was feeling a little bit, and since talking to them she'd even managed to get some reading done, but she couldn't quite shake the feeling of melancholy

[She looked up and was surprised to see a woman whom she hadn't really spoken to since the Ion Storms, standing at her table. She set her PADD down, curious as to why she would approach her.]

Lieutenant Moreau isn't it?

Yes. And you're Dax...Jadzia?
