endings, Ten/Rose, pg-13
The stars were out in the sky, but they both made a habit of not looking up at them. They were different, foreign, he told her when she asked. They looked different; they looked strange, all in the wrong place in the sky., 4139 words ( Read more... )

There are so many things that came to mind when I read that this was going to be a Doomsday AU. But never ever did I anticipate how gut-wrenching this was going to be. Every single word and moment that happens in those twelve hours is just saturated with something like both happiness and sadness. Everything just feels so - so desperate, and you find yourself clinging onto every word like every minute that passes in their time together.

AND THEN THAT ENDING. At that point, I almost thought that them only having a couple minutes or so via a supernova and transmitter had been kinder - but then you just kill me with that brief shine of hope. “That’s because it’s not the end.” - the way you word it and wind up to it - you just know it's not, no matter what happens after that.

Oh goodness. I had to have a good lie down after reading. This is just incredibly, emotionally vivid. Amazing job ♥.

I don't even know where to start with this. The whole time they are together I felt like I was the one checking the clock, waiting for that terrible moment when the happiness goes away. You can tell there were moments where they forgot about how little time they had, which makes the ending that much more desperate.

That whole ending is just so damn good. The way she says they'll be okay and he admits that it's not okay at all, but she's so determined that it gives you hope.

He’s frowning, but before he can reply, time has crashed into them as it always must and she’s left holding hands with nothing but air.

I can't...I don't...just ♥. A whole lot of ♥♥♥. That line is just amazing, this whole piece is amazing.

I'm crying right now. I'm actually crying right now. I knew the ending was coming, knew the inevitability of the whole thing, and it still... oh gosh. This was so beautiful but oh it hurt so much, knowing they only had so much time and knowing he'd have to leave again at the end... oh gosh.

*finds a corner to cry in*

This is all to say it was absolutely gorgeous, darling, so amazing <3

Oh goodness....I think that this is almost a more cruel ending than Doomsday, somehow. Like Rose thought A day wasn’t enough, wasn’t nearly enough, and yet it was too much. Such a heartbreaking read, but still wonderful.
