Oooooh oww. This was a perfect incorporation of the picture, which was one I so wanted to use too. Sarah Jane is perfectly exasperated by them and they are both much more mature, which makes me think it just might work out for them. It's bittersweet, too, that they were separated so long. Very nicely done.

It's such a brilliant prompt, is it not? I kept getting hit with so many Doctor/Rose ideas, but the Eleven/Rose one really stuck out and I wanted Rose to be the one to tell him what he would do if she left. I think Nine or Ten would've let her go (granted, this was AU so I coulda had them tell her they'd go after her) and Tentoo totally would go after her. But there needs to be more Eleven/Rose out there. ;)

I think the Doctor needed time enough away from the Time War before he could ever accept Rose in his life fully, whether immortal or not.

I know I already said it, but this is perfect. No angst, but such a sweet little reunion and a Doctor who's finally grown up a bit.

As I was responding to superioritea I realized that the Doctor really needed to grow up before he accepted Rose in his life fully, immortal or otherwise. SO ALL THE DOCTOR/ROSE ALL THE TIME NOW. ;)

Absolutely perfect use of the prompt! When I read it at the beginning of the story, I imagined it would be Rose since she is the one that always comes back but you gave the line to the Doctor and made it all the more poignant.
Lovely reunion! I really liked Sarah Jane's appearance too and your use of Bad Wolf. I don't like it when Rose leaves Ten too in the other universe so I appreciate that she lived a life with him first (this is one of my head canons that she will return to the Doctor one day).
I don't know anything about Clara yet since I haven't managed to catch up (still on season 6) but I didn't feel lost in your references and was able to follow along at the beginning just fine. I was feeling cranky earlier (life stuff) and this fic put a smile on my face tonight so thank you :)

Canon-wise, I think it would totally fit for Rose to tell the Doctor that she'd go after him if he left her. Thank goodness for AU/fic. ;) Also, I think by this point he's sick and tired of always having to lose what/who he wants most.

Sarah Jane is made of win and I just had to use her.

I CANNOT HANDLE ROSE LEAVING TENTOO. It, like, breaks my heart. The only way Rose would leave Tentoo for Ten would be... Welllll, that's for another fic. :P (Your headcanon and mine agree.)

I read this at 2am this morning when I couldn't sleep and was too blurry to comment - I loved it! It was cute and romantic. I love that he said he would come after her instead of just letting her go :). Very nicely down Silver!

Awww, you need sleep dear KK! I really do think the Doctor is tired of losing/letting go of Rose by this point that he wouldn't be able to help but go after her now. Glad you liked! :D
