Oh, this is gorgeous. Love the bit about him modifying the piano with the sonic. XD

Thank you! That part was fun to write, I got to research grand pianos and discovered what "inharmonicity" means. :)

Yeah I imagine a sort of, I don't know, if a piano could sound like a string orchestra that could sound like the female vocals like Murray Gold likes to use.

“I wasn’t sure I’d remember the song.” His long fingers come up to hover like moths over the keys. “But I do. It… it isn’t as sad as I thought.”

*THUD*

That was... perfect.

I am back! =D

You know, you've always been brilliant, but I think every week you just get better. Sonic screwdrivering the piano - ha! And yet even that is not just comical, it's sweet and a little bit sad too, that he's trying to replicate that music.

I adore the concept of all Ten II and Rose stories but I have a very set idea of how they should be so it's not often that I actually adore the end result like I do here. I think you've got just the right atmosphere for them, all that love but also the sense that they're both still healing and adjusting and, most importantly, healing each other. Lovely =)
