This was really fantastic. I got so into this fic! I loved how you put them into a completely different world, but still managed to make them themselves. Absolutely beautiful. This is one of the best pieces I've read in a while.

This makes me want to go out and buy Mockingjay so bad. I've been holding out for the paperback, but that could be a while. Haha

This was wonderful! I love that they were still themselves in some way, like mae_stark said. That's always the marker of a successful AU, for me!

And I love the hints of Amy and Rory the Roman. ;) Perhaps you could someday do a fic showing us their end, if you're so inclined? I'm just a sucker for Rory and his sword...

And to answer your question, if it's not a crossover (outright featuring characters of the two worlds interacting), it's called a fusion! Two characters from one work in the universe of another is usually how it's defined. And since I didn't get a chance to say it during the open challenge, welcome to the comm! :)

This was awesome - the ambiance, the writing, the re-imagining of the characters. I loved it all!

I've never actually read the Hunger Games, but it sounds a lot like Battle Royale, which I love - so now I'm tempted to read it. And of course adding the Doctor and Rose to the mix makes everything better. This terribly screams for a sequel though, which I doubt we'll ever get. Alas. In any case, great job. That fits so perfectly with the prompt.
